Food Safety & FSSAI Compliance | Sahu Gajak Bhandar

At Sahu Gajak Bhandar, food safety and quality are central to everything we make. Our traditional Gajak, Tilkut, Chikki, Revdi and sesame sweets are manufactured under an FSSAI licence using clean, time-tested methods and quality ingredients, with no added preservatives.

Vegetarian

All Sahu Gajak Bhandar products are vegetarian (green veg mark). Our sweets are made with cow ghee, so they are vegetarian but not vegan.

Ingredients

Our products are made from sesame seeds (til), jaggery (gur) and/or sugar and cow ghee. Dry-fruit variants also contain almonds, cashews and pistachios; peanut variants contain peanuts; flax variants contain flax seeds. We use no preservatives, no artificial colours and no artificial flavours.

Allergen information

Our products contain sesame and milk (cow ghee). Dry-fruit variants contain tree nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios) and peanut variants contain peanuts. All products are made in a facility that also handles peanuts and tree nuts, so traces may be present. Customers with allergies should check the individual pack and exercise caution.

Storage & shelf life

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Refrigeration is not recommended.
  • Shelf life: Best before 4 months from the date of packing. Refer to each pack for the batch number, date of manufacture and best-before date.

Packaging & labelling

Products are sealed in food-grade, airtight packaging. Each pack carries the FSSAI logo and licence number, net quantity, batch/lot number, date of manufacture, best-before date, vegetarian mark, list of ingredients and manufacturer details, in line with the Food Safety and Standards (Labelling & Display) Regulations, 2020.
