Sahu Til Patti Gajak 250g is a traditional Rajasthani sesame jaggery patti made with roasted sesame seeds (til), jaggery (gur), sugar, cow ghee, and cardamom — pressed into thin, flat patti sheets. It is crispy, vegetarian, and suitable for daily snacking, gifting, and year-round family use.
Prepared in small batches by Sahu Gajak Bhandar in Menpura, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan using a traditional family recipe since 1875, Til Patti Gajak is the simplest and most direct form of Rajasthani sesame sweet — roasted sesame and natural jaggery pressed flat into a clean, crispy patti. No flaky layers like gajak biscuit, no dense block like tilkut — a straightforward sesame-jaggery patti with a direct, satisfying crunch. Our smallest Til Patti size — ideal for first-time buyers, return gifting, and festival hamper additions. Also available in 350g and 500g.
Sahu Til Patti Gajak — also known as Til Ki Patti, Sesame Patti, Gur Til Patti, Til Jaggery Patti, or Sesame Jaggery Patti — is a traditional Rajasthani sesame sweet handcrafted at our family facility in Menpura, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. Made by the Sahu family since 1875, this til ki patti combines roasted sesame seeds with natural jaggery (gur) and cow ghee — pressed into thin, flat patti sheets. No preservatives, no liquid glucose, no artificial colour.
All three are traditional Rajasthani sesame-jaggery sweets with the same core ingredients but different preparation methods and textures. Gajak Biscuit is hand-hammered into thin, flaky, layered sheets — light and delicate. Tilkut is hand-pounded in a mortar into a dense, crumbly block — firmer and more intense in sesame flavour. Til Patti is pressed flat into thin sheets — simpler and more compact than gajak biscuit, without the flaky layers. Three formats, three textures, one sesame-jaggery tradition.
Each piece of Sahu Til Patti Gajak has a clean, direct crunch — roasted sesame seeds bound in jaggery with the warm note of cardamom. Less layered than Gajak Biscuit, less dense than Tilkut — a straightforward sesame-jaggery bite that is satisfying without being heavy. The jaggery provides deep natural sweetness; the sesame gives its characteristic toasty, nutty warmth; the cardamom adds a gentle aromatic finish. The kind of til patti that goes best with a cup of chai.

Q: What is Til Patti Gajak?
A: Til Patti Gajak — also known as Til Ki Patti, Sesame Patti, Gur Til Patti, or Til Jaggery Patti — is a traditional Rajasthani sweet made with roasted sesame seeds (til), jaggery (gur), cow ghee, and cardamom, pressed into thin, flat patti sheets. One of the simplest and most direct forms of traditional Indian sesame sweet.
Q: What is the difference between Til Patti, Gajak Biscuit, and Tilkut?
A: All three are traditional Rajasthani sesame-jaggery sweets with the same core ingredients but different preparations. Gajak Biscuit is hand-hammered into thin, flaky, layered sheets. Tilkut is hand-pounded into a dense, crumbly block. Til Patti is pressed flat into thin sheets — simpler and more compact, without the flaky layers of gajak biscuit.
Q: Why choose the 250g Til Patti Gajak?
A: The 250g is our smallest Til Patti size — ideal for first-time buyers who want to try authentic Til Patti before ordering a larger size, for return gifting at weddings and functions, and for festival hamper additions.
Q: Is Sahu Til Patti Gajak vegetarian?
A: Yes. Sahu Til Patti Gajak is a vegetarian Indian sweet made with sesame seeds, jaggery, cow ghee, and cardamom. No eggs, no meat, no artificial ingredients.
Q: Is Til Patti Gajak made with jaggery?
A: Yes. Made with natural jaggery (gur) — a traditional gur til patti with deep, natural caramel sweetness.
Q: Does Sahu Til Patti Gajak contain preservatives?
A: No. Sahu Til Patti Gajak contains no added preservatives, no liquid glucose, no artificial colour, and no artificial flavour — made with pure traditional ingredients.
Q: What is the shelf life of Til Patti Gajak 250g?
A: Best before 6 months from the date of packing when stored in a cool and dry place.
Q: How should I store Til Patti Gajak?
A: Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Keep away from moisture and direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate. Til Patti can become soft if exposed to moisture — always seal properly after opening.
Q: Is Til Patti Gajak good for gifting?
A: Yes. The 250g pack is a popular choice for return gifting at weddings and family functions, festival sweet hampers, and personal gifting — a compact, traditional Indian sesame sweet appreciated by all age groups.
Q: When is Til Patti traditionally eaten?
A: Til Patti is a year-round traditional sweet — not just a seasonal product. It is most commonly associated with Makar Sankranti and Lohri but is enjoyed daily as a tea-time snack, after-meal sweet, and gifting option throughout the year.
Q: Where can I buy Til Patti online?
A: Buy Sahu Til Patti Gajak online at sahugajak.com — available in 250g, 350g, and 500g for delivery across India. Also available on Amazon, Flipkart, JioMart, Blinkit, BigBasket, and Swiggy Instamart.
Q: What makes Sahu Til Patti Gajak different from commercially available sesame patti?
A: Sahu Til Patti Gajak is made in small batches using natural jaggery (gur) and cow ghee — no liquid glucose, no preservatives, no artificial colour. Many commercial sesame patti products use liquid glucose for shine and extended shelf life. Sahu Til Patti is a genuine traditional recipe made the same way since 1875 in Menpura, Rajasthan.
Q: Is it ready to eat?
A: Yes. Sahu Til Patti Gajak is a ready-to-eat traditional sweet. Open the pack and enjoy directly — no preparation needed.
