From Rajasthan's Heart: Handmade Traditional Sweets

For over 150 years, the art of making Gajak and Tilkut has been passed down through generations in Rajasthan. At Sahu Gajak Bhandar, we honor this legacy by preparing each sweet using traditional methods that have remained unchanged for centuries.

Our artisans dedicate 10-15 hours to hammering the dough by hand, a time-honored technique that releases the natural oils from fresh sesame seeds, creating the distinctive crisp and flaky texture that sets our sweets apart from mass-produced alternatives.

Made in small batches using the finest sesame from the winter harvest and pure jaggery from sugarcane, our sweets are deeply connected to Indian festival traditions. During Makar Sankranti, families across India exchange til-gul sweets with the saying "til gul ghya god god bola" - eat sweets and speak sweet words.

From our home in Menpura, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, we bring you the authentic taste of tradition, handcrafted with care and pride.
