Sahu Gajak Barfi 250g is a traditional Rajasthani sesame sweet made with roasted sesame seeds (til), jaggery (gur), sugar, cow ghee, and dry fruits — almonds, cashews, and pistachios — set into a firm barfi-style piece with a crunchy, nutty texture and balanced sweetness. The 250g is the smallest size in the Gajak Barfi range — ideal for first-time buyers, return gifting, and adding to festival sweet hampers. Prepared in small batches using traditional Rajasthani technique and process. Packed hygienically to maintain freshness and texture.
Sahu Gajak Barfi is crafted at our family facility in Menpura, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan — made by the Sahu family since 1875. Unlike flaky Gajak Biscuit, Gajak Barfi is set into a firm slab and cut into pieces — a softer, denser texture with a compact bite. The 250g is the entry-size in our Gajak Barfi range. Also available in 300g, 400g, and 500g.
Each piece of Gajak Barfi delivers a firm, crunchy bite with the warmth of roasted sesame, the depth of jaggery, and bursts of buttery richness from almonds, cashews, and pistachios. The cardamom provides a gentle aromatic finish. Gajak Barfi is denser than Gajak Biscuit but lighter than most mithai — a distinctive sweet that bridges traditional gajak and barfi.
Gajak Biscuit is prepared by repeated hand-hammering of sesame and jaggery, creating thin, crispy, flaky layers. Gajak Barfi is made by combining sesame, jaggery, dry fruits and ghee, then setting the mixture into a firm slab and cutting into pieces. Gajak Barfi is softer and denser than Gajak Biscuit, and always contains dry fruits. Both products use no preservatives and no liquid glucose.
Gajak Barfi 250g is for first-time buyers who want to sample the product, for anyone building a festival gift hamper who needs a compact sweet, and for return gifting at weddings and family functions. Popular during Diwali, Makar Sankranti, Lohri, and Raksha Bandhan. Available all year round.
