Peanut Chikki Gur Wali from Sahu Gajak Bhandar is the pure, two-ingredient version of our groundnut chikki — made with only roasted peanuts and natural jaggery (gur), nothing else. No sugar, no ghee, no additives. The jaggery does all the work: binding the peanuts into a firm, slightly rustic brittle with an earthy, unrefined sweetness. Prepared in small batches using traditional Rajasthani technique and process in Menpura, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan since 1875.
We make two styles of Peanut Chikki. Gur Wali uses only peanuts and jaggery — the traditional, minimalist recipe with a more rustic texture and deeper jaggery flavour. Crispy version adds sugar, cow ghee, pistachio, and cardamom — a smoother, slightly richer chikki with a cleaner snap. Both are prepared using traditional technique; the choice comes down to whether you prefer pure jaggery or a more refined, aromatic finish.
